The young girl had ran along her friend, her hand on hers and pulling her with legs taking them as fast as they could go. Shelter was found behind some boxes in an alley, the constant thumping of military boots passing straight back and allowing Mika to finally take a deep breath. They were safe– at least for now. Their protests always ended this way, with the other side starting to fire shots and take prisoners, hostages. Up to now, they had been lucky enough to run; but she knew the time would come in which they would get their hands on them. Still, fighting what they believed in was what mattered.

The protests were always a difficult thing to do. Because everyone was against them. The police wanted them to stop. But the whole world didn’t care, so it was their only way to make a point. Wanda had lost her parents because of Stark Industries and America. And the Western countries that didn’t do anything to stop the attacks on them. And she had learned the rough way in the orphanage. That if she wanted something, she had to fight for it. The world wouldn’t give easily. At least, she had a friend in Mika. ONce they were in safety, she turned to see if anyone was there. With her mind, trying to find another one. Without showing her powers too much.

“Yes they are.”
